Okay so tomorrow i'm getting FM for xmas (hopefully) and im going to start with my beloved Man City. I'm going to install the 8.0.1 patch and an unofficial update as of 15th of December but then i'd add Castillo to City on loan and Gunter to Spurs, Speed to Sheff Utd etc. I've been thinking of people to buy and i've thought of these:
Luka Modric- Quality playmaker as we all know. Probably would play AMR.
Sergey Ignashevic- Aparentlty he's v.good and you can get him for free. Would be good back-up in defence.
Makoun/Veloso/Banega- I need a good DMC or is Hamann good enough, i can't decide.
You start with a good squad and my team would hopefully look like this:
Isaksson
Richards Dunne Corluka Garrido
Hamann/ New DMC
Elano
Modric Petrov
Bianchi Castillo/Vassell
Does this look good? Has anyone had any success with Man City before? I'm aiming for top 8 finish really, hopefully pushing for Europe but i'd settle for the Euro Vase.

Yeah i'll probably get Banega but is he good enough to be introduced straight away or should i play Hamann for a bit. I may not even need a DMC because i will have Hamann, Dabo and Gelson Fernandes.
As for a striker people have told me Bianchi is mint on the game and that Castillo is pretty good. Are Samaras, Mpenza, Vassell and Sturridge decent enough back-up until Bojinov is back or do i need to buy?
