Hello I am currently on my 3rd season as Liverpool I havent made many changes to the squad preferring to invest in future players the only noticable buy being Micah Richards for my 1st team.

The point of this post is that in my 3rd season Gerrard has never reached form 8 and has scored only 3 goals in 26 games. Previously in season 1 he scored 16 and also in season 2 he scored 0 (even though he often got to form 8.

I am playing him centre midfield in a 442 formation with;

Through balls high forward runs high and free role the rest is mixed or fixed in the centre (which is roughly inline with my teams mentality.

Try removing the freerole, more likely to follow your instructions.

Ive chopped and changed free role but it doesnt seem to make much difference.

I considered replacing him but he is a big character in my team loved by everyone and such + it is difficult to find someone so well rounded as him who plays MC

What you guys think ?

p.s. i dont usually use these forums this is my first time so I am pretty desparate I normally prefer to figure out most myself.

I played him at AMC, without free role but with an attacking mentality, and much creativity. Through balls also on mixed, foward runs on often. Scored almost every other game

Seriously, now, trade him for Lampard. If that doesn't work, try taking him off the free role and keeping him at AMC where he'll get more goals, assists, and subsequently better ratings.

Play him right mid
