That puts things into perspective (the geordie comment) Has anyone one else taken such a gamble (not asking for tips, just curious)

Me has, with a South American, AMC who didn't make it at ManUre. The swine signed as a Player coach then retired from playing 3 months after I signed him. He then dropped me and signed as an Aßman for a bigger club shortly thereafter.

In a previous incarnation of this game (I forget which), I conned a VEEERY tempermental frenchman into joining my div 2 side when he had been let go on a free. He surprised me when he said yes. It was a nightmare, The whole team was in mutiny. They hated his guts.

I've never signed any player of this kind. I tend to bring in youth and try to nurture them into something like football players...

In a previous version of this game I once signed a overweight legendary Argentinian forward as ass-man for my Nationwide conference Kingstonian side.
I got some money when he left for a bigger club soon after.
