2009/10 - to paraphrase Taips: "Breakout! - The flat ground of League 2"

What is it with this game the division above the Conference? League 2 was, at the risk of bragging, a breeze. So often seems to be the case (from CM3 onwards) after promotion into the league proper.

The stats:
P46 W27 D11 L8 F91 A49 Pts92 - 1st place.

The only real oddity was the gate for the last game. Having secured the title the game before, we faced Weymouth. Remember - we would be parading the trophy and Weymouth needed a point to finish in the playoffs. So why did we only get 10% of our normal gate? 284 people bothered to come. That's gratitude for you.

FA Cup - out round 2
League Cup - out round 2
Vans Trophy - Faced some team going by the name of Plymouth Argyle (Lge 1) in the regional final. Beat them with the only goal in 180 minutes of tedious football. So, Hull in the final, in front of just over 44,000 at the Millennium Stadium. Lucky to be 0-0 at half time, and even luckier when we got an 89th minute equaliser. Shame Hull got a 91st minute winner

Valid. I'm in League Two now and finding it a bit of a breeze. My record looks like it could be very similar to yours.

Well done on the promotion anyway. Perhaps the speed of your promotion will makes things more difficult in League One, to balance things out a little...

When I got Lewes into League Two, I struggled like heck for four seasons just keeping them up before buggering off to Stoke.

Now I'm struggling like hell with Billericay trying to get INTO League Two!

I don't know what you're all complaining about personally...I'll be lucky if I ever get out of the Conference South!
