Solaar is infamous around these parts
Default Dafuge's challenge

Is anyone else taking up Dafuge's challenge to bring a non-league club up as far as possible?

It's in the general discussion thread I think.

Solaar
apologies if this is already underway

If all kind of cheating is allowed there, it's not really a challenge. It just takes a bit longer to win the CL and EPL.

Read the guidelines. If you like them, try them out. If not, well - don't tell us about it.

IIRC the idea was to start the game unemployed and holiday for a year. Then you would take charge of one of the teams newly promoted into the Conf N or S. No LLM guidelines were used as part of the challenge, so player naming, tactics stuff and all the other crap is present and (in)correct.

I haven't linked because to read it would mean having to bleach your eyeballs afterwards.

I believe one LLaMa did take part in the challenge...

I'm no grass

It was a while ago I looked at the thread (had to stop because I couldn't avert my eyes quickly enough to avoid all the tipping), so can't remember off the top of my head, but I do recall him saying he would be playing to LLM guidelines. Not sure if he continued with the challenge, considering he could only read his own posts though...

I've just had a very quick look at it (first and last pages only), and by God it's horrible.

I'm going for a very hot bath now - I need to cleanse myself :toofar:

Just a note to the original thread starter:

Just a quick question - what sort of tactics are you all using?
(from page 168 of said thread)

You said in that post that you've fallen out of love with FM06. If you're thinking of playing the LLM way in order to rekindle that love, you can't ask this kind of question. There is a big difference between that challenge and how we play. Of course you can choose that kind of challenge if you wish, but just so you're aware, we play the game without help. There is a reason that challenge isn't posted here.

This is not a flaming btw, just pointing out the difference between that challenge and LLM.
