Now my dear austrian, pseudo-austrian and definite non-austrian I have <STRIKE>the honor</STRIKE> the honor to present you another season.

Season 2007/08 Vasco da Gama

Board wants to avoid relegation again. I'd like to improve just a bit and get out of the whole mediocrity crap.
In come: A Right winger on a half season loan from Sporting. A new striker for 1k a new DC and a new GK for nothing and after the right winger doesnt want to join for the 2nd half of the season a AM LC from Benfica for 5k.
Out goes: 2nd choice GK for 8k, an AM RL and a DC who couldnt get a game in the last 2 seasons for almost nothing. At end of season now 4th choice striker leaves us for 8k.
The season turns out to be exactly like the last 3 only the top goalscorer is a new one. 1k signing achieve this by scoring a "mighty" 14 goals in 30(6) games. Other thing<STRIKE>s</STRIKE> of note is that the only player who started in 39 games decides to get his 5th yellow card in the 2nd last game of the season to prevent him from starting in all games played this season. Yes it was a very exiting season once again.
W: 13 D: 11 L: 14 +7goals 11th place
Cups: enter in 2nd out in 3rd

A cash injection in january makes us only lose 100k this season instead of the usual 150 wohoo!

In other news Austria got drawn into a group with Germany, Italy and Turkey for the european championship 2008. Amazingly they managed to get a 2-0 win against turkey and didnt went out of the tourney with 0 points and 0 goals. Still a win isnt enough and they ended up 4th in their group.
At the end Italy wins it all with a 2-1 win vs Poofland. Other events of note Austrian darling of the nation whos actualy now trying his luck in Greece got 3rd in player of the championship.
