Just to follow up on this. What if your club is pro. Do you give players a part-time contract with lousy pay? Or boost the wage to much more than they want and offer them full-time contracts?

In my last save, the club went Professional after promotion to the second division. Some players, especially young ones, still wanted part time contracts. I acceded to their requests and if they progressed, they got offered full time contracts, most agreed. Some new young signings also got part time contracts.

By the time we were in the Championship, everyone in the first team, or reserves was on a full time contract, unless they were still on youth terms.

Now I have actually turned pro (update on the way) so I got caught in this dilemma.

So far I've set the limit for pro contracts at £300/week (£15,000 a year is enough for a decent living). Most players are still on PT as they won't re-sign (about 15 players. Yikes!). I try to get people over on pro contracts. This means that even if I could sign them for 100-150 a week, I push them up to 300 to make it more realistic. Mind I only do this with players I consider decent to start with. What looks like crap, stay on crap contracts.
