It did sound a bit much to me too. But as I said there are probably use differences between people. Some make craploads, and many make little.
Still sounds a bit high though. Between 15K and 20K sounds more right.

Average wage in the UK is £19k IIRC.

Basic rule in my opinion: If you can live from it offer a full time contract. Basically if I need to offer a contract over PND 1000 a month + bonusses I offer a full time contract.

Which isn't much as a singleton, really, which is why I remember. Maybe I was just told wrong.
