I'm new to LLM but have adhered to the rules posted above. But there is little mention about staff other than signing people that speak the appropriate language. Are you allowed to search for staff? I'm assuming not, so I've placed an advert. Unfortunately, the people applying are asking for more than my board will allow, even though they only have 'Obscure' reputations. I desperately need a coach but if I can't use the search screen, I'll continue with adverts.
A good guideline is to filter by those that speak the language of the country you're managing in, and look for those that have the same reputation or lower than you or your club, whichever is higher.

I like that and use it too!!
I am at the horrible stage at the moment of just turning pro and all the staff and players suddenly think they are God's gift and asking for shedloads!!

This a cracking rule, Keith. I think I'll pinch it.
I've been know to sign slightly foreign scouts in desperation (he doesn't have to communicate on a day-to-day basis with my players), but otherwise the language filter is a good one.
Yeah, it is good. I sign those who are unemployed and speak the language. Some top-quality staff are unemployed occasionally, though, so I like Elroy's rule better. (Despite the fact that the well-known guys usually tell the small clubs where to stick their contract offer, anyway.)
