I wonder if FM still concentrates on inflicting injuries on players with the same position. I.e, it starts off with the position you have the least cover for, injurying your one and only DL, then your MR and his binary replacement, then all your AMC's etc...
In my case, it sometimes decides to try and cause problems to my strikers, but it gets bored long before I run out of strikers.

| I noticed this when one of my two main strikers was injured in the 1st half of a match, his replacement was then injured in the 2nd half and my other main striker was shown as having a slight injury which in fact led to him being sidelined for a month. Luckily I had a good AMR/F and AML/F as well as an AM/F who came in and played well.
It must have really ****ed off the AI that its evil plan had not worked.

| Ugh, don't even start. My 2 first-choice DMs both got injured in my final friendly of the pre-season (no injuries in the 4 before that one). Both starting strikers got injured in the first league match. Then another striker was cruelly struck down before the next match, in which both starting strikers picked up injuries. That's 5 strikers injured in the space of 3 games.
The worst point is that due to the bu- I mean 'feature' in FM06, my team only has the 26 players with squad numbers to choose from, whereas every other team has their own 26 plus as many spotty brats as they can find in their U-19s. So I have to register 3 keepers to avoid the annoyance of having no keepers fit to play. A 'feature' SI have announced they have no intention of removing.

| Was that Anundsjo IF? I had a great game with them ('great' as in 'enjoyable', not 'succesful' - out of the 14 seasons I played only one was in the premier division and we were relegated) until a combination of bad luck and my laziness killed the save. KUTGW with Naval, anyway!

This season's update isn't going to have a happy ending the way things are currently going.
I just came out of a EURO Cup match with 3 match-related injuries, having already been reduced to fielding my 4th choice keeper due to injuries. I'll leave your collective imaginations the task of guessing the outcome of the match. :fumes:

[b] Season 7 (2014/2015): Naval [/b}
3 first-teamers left on frees, including the DL(C), who was promptly farmed out on loan by his new club. I also decided to cash in on the Player Of The Year, to the tune of £1.5m plus some future bonuses I'm unlikely to see, as he moved to Panathinaikos for a 1000% wage increase. In return, I signed the usual raft of future prospects for small fees. A notable exception being an Italian (surprise, non?) DC for £750k from Parma. Portuguese League: A poor start was followed by a poor autumn was followed by a poor winter. Every reasonable/good result was soon cancelled out by a poor/awful result. A 6-0 loss to Porto was the lowest point, leaving us 11th in the league. I decided to give some youngsters a chance in the first-team and they justified my decision, as we won 7 and drew 3 of our last 10 games, leaving us in a league position that flattered us somewhat.
League: W:15 D:4 L:11 GD:+10 Final Position: 4th
Portuguese Cup: We drew 'Benfica away' in the 4th Round. 'Nuff said.
EURO Cup: We beat Lyon over 2 legs, scoring 3 in the away leg to win 3-2 on aggregate. We left some skin behind as we scraped through the group stages. 3-1 up after 10 minutes of the second leg of the 1st knockout round, we lose our left-sided forward and left-sided midfield player in the next 10 minutes. My 4th choice goalkeeper, only playing through injuries to other players, didn't do much as 6 goals sailed past him.
U-19s: The league was won on the 31st January with an 8-0 win over 2nd place Sporting. The Cup was won a few weeks later as we beat Benfica 3-0.
U-19 League: W:22 D:0 L:0 GD:+72
Best signing was a freebie striker from Parma who bagged 14 goals and 9 assists in all competitions. My replacement for the D LC was a dead loss, playing like a drunk chimp until I decided to axe him from the team - a couple of youngsters look like viable replacements. The scouts did a good job this season; the players they've recommended have just about filled any gaps my youth squad had, including a decent MR (at last).

Brief semi-update.
On January 3rd, I was approached by the Ghanaian FA to take the national team with the aim of not being embarrassed in the World Cup qualifiers. I accepted.
First job was actually the African Cup of Nations. We strolled through the group stages, scoring 8 and conceding none.
Our prize was a Q/F against Nigeria. We scored twice early on, they equalized before half-time and it was a tense 2nd half, then a boring extra-time (in which we missed a penalty), then the inevitable shootout. We scored all 5; they didn't.
The Semi was against Tunisia and, frankly, they outplayed us for the entire match. However, they didn't get a single shot on target. We did and scored twice.
The final against Morocco wasn't as one-sided, but they did outplay us. Still, you've got to put the ball in the net to win games and that's something they weren't very good at. A lightning-quick counter-attack and a freekick from Chelski's midfielder settled it, 2-0 to us.
The praise from the FA and the fans was truly overwhelming. :tumbleweed:
