There was a news item about one of my strikers moving to a bigger club. When I told the press "he's not going anywhere", the assman said the player was happy.

I checked his personality and he's "loyal". Such a rare type of player to have.

To score a goal 36 seconds after kickoff, after a combination of about 12 passes between 9 players (a striker and the goalie didn't participate) with the opposition just watching. \o/

That makes up for a lot of stupid back passes into the feet of the opposition striker.

It's 2020, and having at last dragged Halifax back into the Football League, I've instructed my two loyal scouts to go out and scour the UK for players who might be able to keep us there.

Now I've not been paying that much attention to what's been going on outside the Conference the last few years, but my lads are obviously a bit sharper than I am.

For instance, I only knew that the European Championship Finals were being played because one of my first teamers was called up to the Ireland squad ... but they've noticed that Scotland and Wales are the joint hosts, and are now submitting reports from fixtures such as Poland v Belguim at Murrayfield.

Mind you they do seem to be limiting their recommendations to UK based players.
