Just out of curiosity, is there anything special about playing with an orange ball other than the cool factor?

Maybe, just maybe it's used on a snowy pitch, so you can see the bugger.

I did notice players seemed to be slipping about a bit. At least thats what it looked like as they kept shooting off in strange directions!!

The AI team (Oxford) kept on hoofing it up in the air as well which looked very cool as its got good patches on the ball!!

Maybe the previous question wasn't clear. I understand that the ball is orange in order to see it on the snow. However, we were talking about the nice things in the game that keep you coming back. It sounded as if playing with an orange ball (on snow) was something special.

First time I watched a game played with one, it certainly looked as though the players weren't as sure on their feet as they normally were.

Or maybe it was just me getting excited - the first game I ever saw live was played with an orange ball (Burnley v Leeds circa 1972). Problem was I didn't know I needed glasses and all I could see were two orange blobs going up and down the pitch - one was the ball, and the other was Billy Bremner's head ...

It is "special" but it is new and exciting!!

It wasn't me pi$$ed then as dwv1968 saw them slipping around too!

Did have some nice old school playground style bundles in the penalty area too!!

Guess its just simple things pleasing simple minds!!
