Season 5 09/10

Scottish Division 2

The Board expected a reasonable finishing position in the league.

A decent start to the season saw the warriors top of the table, but alas, this was not to last as a poor run of form beginning on Boxing day and running through to Febuary saw the warriors lose 8 games on the bounce and start dropping like a rolling stone down the table /o\

In the January transfer window an offer of 300k came in for one of my 2 main strikers, I faced a dilema as I set his asking price high to stop teams bidding all the time. After some soul searching I bit the bullet and sold him. Big mistake but I will get to that in a minute.

The rest of the season was a bit hit and miss, winning some losing some but drawing far too many to move far up the table the only good news was that the remaining strikers stepped up to the task and I didn't miss the boy I sold in January.


Finished a disappointing (for me) 7th

Now on to the more disappointing news. I was offered a new contract as usual (I negotiate a 1 year deal every season) but I was given the choice of between 110k and 450k in transfer fees and 4.2k and 11k per week in wages. This offer kind of destroyed my motivation to continue with the warriors as the money could be used to turn all my players full time and could give me a better chance to win promotion. In Division 2 that is a bit of a stretch. I signed the 1 year deal but am thinking hard about applying for a new job with another club.
