What would happen if Berwick finished in the top 4 of the SPL- would they get denied a European spot because they are an English team? (or is that possibility so far beyond remote that no one bothered to make a ruling?  )

I think the best case in point is Monaco but I'm not sure whether this counts as Monte Carlo's not a real country.
