| As far as I know, the game doesn't deny you promotion like it would happen in RL if your stadium wasn't up to scratch. Luckily work began on expanding mine during pre-season in my first season in the Premier League. The work finished really late in the season though.

I think, once promoted, you get a period in which the stadium must be improved to the standard expected of the league you've gained promotion to.

So I've been recently informed; you have 3 seasons in the Championship to bring your stand up to all-seat standard but not in the Premiership. You need to have a 15,000 seat, all-seater, from day 1.
Not in the game though.

Except, Cardiff have a dispensation because we are (apparently!) building a new stadium.

Colchester have plans for a new stadium. It has to be done as I can't see them staying in the current stadium

You've got to wonder how advanced these plans have to be to count as 'plans'. I mean Luton have had plans for a new stadium for the last 30 odd years. | |
