nope, I certainly didn't. The update that comes on the disc are for those people who don't have wireless access to the internet to download PSP software updates.

You don't need to update your PSP to play the game so you can just ignore it.

It comes bundled with Version 2.5

Which Sony makes you upgrade to that version for it to be playable.

Unless of corse your not a psp dummy, then you can run it on v1.5

fair enough, I'll take back what I said You do need to update your PSP if you don't have the right firmware

mine had a 2.6 update i think. i was already on 2.6 so i may be wrong as i only briefly looked.
