Awesome!

I love BASIC!

Don't suppose there's any way of getting our hands on the source code?

I started getting into football in 1996 with Euro 1996 and CM96 (i think it was called CM2) when I was 10 years old.

Can you still buy CM93?
Whoa, wait a minute...you're three years younger than me, and you don't know what BASIC is?

Pretty sure CM1 was written in BASIC yes, and no we don't have the source code for cm1-cm2, I think the tale was something like they were stored on backup tape drives when some years later they went to be access the tapes they had degraded and were no longer readable.

I remember seeing the original CM with the angry looking old man on the front cover in a shop when I was A LOT younger but couldn't afford it. However, I went to a mates house and he gave me a load of games (including CM) that he hadn't even used! I've bought every version since then. I dread to think how many months or years have been lost to playing it.

My memory is a bit fuzzy, and I'm probably wrong, but didn't CM use a runtime version of Jet (shipped with Micro$oft Access) as the database?

I remember reading that when the Collyers were students they had their house broken into and some personal stuff like CDs were stolen but luckily for us the master disks for CM were hidden under the bed. I say luckily because Paul C said there were no backups!!
