I recently selected wayne rooney as my captain and the entire team was delighted for him...even rio ferdinand-the person wayne replaced as captain! this might be a small thing but it really adds a feel good factor to the game..its realistic. similarly the celebrations are great in fm08...anyone else notcied any small change that has made the game better or more realistic????

one feature that's advanced massively in the game over the last couple of years is the player personalities. It was almost non-existent in FM05, now it's a huge part of the game and it helps you feel really attached to your squad.

For instance, Paul Robinson is always knocking my managerial decisions but i'm on his favoured personel - it's a real love/hate relationship

In my first season at Ajax I spent my transfer budget bringing in a lot of young players to model the classic "young Ajax" from the 90s. I won the league and was apporached by a reporter who said something like "People said you couldn't win anything with kids, with an average squad age of 24 you've proved them wrong.". I thought that was pretty cool.

That kind of thing annoys me as well becuase when I selected a captain for my Chesterfield team, everyone was happy, except the person I selected as captain, who felt he was too young and I was heaping pressure on him!
