Ok so this is the story..

Running FM08(Beta Patch),installed club badges,and real competiton names.Also injected money into Norwich City using Editor before i started my save game.

Currently in the year 2012(September 15th iirc)

Leagues-English Prem-League 2,Spain top 2 divisions.Huge database.

Running all this on my laptop with 1.60GHz,508mb RAM.(Also added extra memory slot so not sure if thats included in the 508mb RAM?

When running FM its basically eating up my whole virtual memory.First few seasons a little box would pop up saying "windows is runnig low on virtual memory".This would happen on FM07 but i never had any problems so i kinda didnt take no notice of it on FM08.

One day after playing FM08 i started to notice a blue screen appearing everytime i try to turn off my laptop and shutdown windows.(Crash Dump or something?)

But now i cant even load up my save game,it gets half way untill a pop up appears and tells me "FM is running dangeroulsy low on memory,please quit game"

Also when running FM (at load game screen) my windows task manager is showing me its using just under 200k of virtual memory.

I have done a search,and have also yet to try re-installing the game.but im guessing doing this will lose my save game? (Leeds in Prem )

Any help much appreciated. :thup:

Buy anouther 512mb ram stick this should help. Im currently using 812mb of ram and im in 2011

The specs sound ok - not fantastic, but maybe your PC is also full up with junk, how much spare memory do you have? Maybe you need to give it a good clean up. What have you got running in the background? Anti-virus, other programmes? It can all stack up.

I recently deleted temp internet files but didnt seem to make much difference.Have no other big games installed,FM07 has been deleted to make way for FM08.Got Zonealarm,avast,msn messenger,thats about it really!

Any good ways to clean up my system?

You haven't just used up the space on your laptop for all the downloads, have you? If it worked fine beforehand, you're probably out of hard disk space and need to clear up.

Check out your virtual memory settings - (control panel -> system), and if you have more than one drive, set virtual memory to use the one with more space. By default it's your system (C drive), and if you install everything to the default path, you'll soon fill up your system drive.

Physical memory is always quicker though. If you want to run more leagues faster, get more RAM (at least 1 Gig, though 2 is becoming the standard).
