Sitting enjoying my game on FM08 I read a thread that has really, really helped me in my team talks. It brought an idea to my head that during the games, mabye if your young player or what not isn't playing as well or hes making his debut you can go to the tactics screen and have the choice to say something to the player you want. If Sergio Agúero isn't playing as well as he should I encourage him or 'have faith' in him and it usually works. When it doesn't i'd love to do it during the 2nd half or 1st half even. Opinions?
For me it'd just take the already annoying and repetitive teamtalks even further. Not only do you have a select few options to motivate your players, you have to do it all through the game. It'd drive me mad.
What I would like to see would be another variation on the idea of your assistant giving you game feedback. For instance if you're only playing fullbacks and no wingers your fullback might say that he is being overloaded and needs more cover. It could be a way of giving you more feedback as to what is going wrong in the game when you cant see it yourself.

I like your idea but ofcourse you wouldn't need to do my idea, it'd be a choice for every player.
It depends how it's coded into the game I suppose. You don't need to do teamtalks either, but if you dont then you tend not to perform as well, or players get upset at the end because they aren't getting the credit they deserve.
I would like to be able to tell something to my players when doing a substitution. Like tell the player I put on the field what I expect of him and tell the player I took off why he is being subbed. Especially when a player is looking angry when I sub him.
For example if I'm up by a couple of goals and it is 10 mins left I might chose to bring on a defensive player instead of an offensive. I would like to tell the player I take off the pitch if he is being subbed so that we can pull the play down more defensivly and I would like to tell the player I put on the pitch that I expect him to help to shut the other team down for the last minutes.
It would also be good if you chose to sub a player to rest him abit for the next game if it is an important one. If I chose to put a young unexperienced player in to get some first team feeling I would like to tell him there is no pressure and that I just want him to get the feel for it or something.
