Right, this is an issue which is really annoying with Football Manager. It is related to Manchester United. Yes the club is in massive debt, e.g. 4m monthly payments etc, but united make about 3-5 million quid a match day, which should be included in the game, otherwise it is stupidly inaccurate!!!
Yes I agree, apparently Arsenal make £3m a day with the Emirates which has 60,000 seats! Also, Man Utd have increased ticket prices so they should get a lot more.
Have posted in response to this question a few times. Hopefully it will be patched as given Manchester United are possibly one of the teams "most played" in the game, quite a few people will be getting a little miffed to say the least.
For the time bieng though, I would advise using the editor to "correct" the financial data.
As a point of fact with real life ticket prices and sales. Compare the prices for the London clubs, then look at prices for Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Everton, Bolton, Blackburn. The Northern clubs are far cheaper, normally.
I have noticed in the editor a section with ticket prices. It might be worth checking online what actual real ticket prices are for each club and inserting them yourself.
Thanks, lol, nice to hear that people are thinking the same thing. With the editor, will it affect saved games, or is there a way i can, if it doesn't??
In my Spanish League career game, 7 seasons in, there is 1 team "Rich" and that is my Zaragoza. However when I joined the club they had a 21M Bank Loan, almost immediately took out a Chairman Loan of 8M and recently took out another Bank Loan of 7M. We have 25M in the bank currently but are paying out 400K a month in repayments.
I run a pretty tight ship, wages are well below the limit by some 400k per week. Yet I consistently lose money and the only way I can "make" money is by not buying players and pocketing all the cash from success in tournaments. If I was actually to spend half my transfer budget the team would be plunged into debt.
Yeah I know exactly what you mean. I am currently in my first season with Man Utd, and the club is -8million in debt, yet they still say I have 8 million of my transfer budget!
I am well within my wage budget aswell. I wonder if anyone who has played as Manchester United in fm 08 and are further into the game, as in later seasons, so we can see what happens with the money issue

Im currently managing Arsenal in 2013 and Man Uniteds finances are as follows:
