I suppose the only thing you can do is be grateful that it was a friendly defeat.

The worst one I had was a 4-3 defeat. I can't remember the exact details, but I dominated both halves. At half-time, it was 2-2, and they'd had one shot on target. Neither of the goals were own goals. I think their final shot count was 4 on target. I had about 20 shots, and about 10 on target.

I snuck promotion, though, so the last laugh was on them.

This is from 2007 but still absolutley horrible.

I was Atletico and managed to score 2 own goals

Ouch! Not fun. Expect somebody to come on here in a minute and shout about how the game is incredibly bugged, because of these three results, and dub it 'unplayable'.

I've always found my players preseason finishing to be poor and they always get it sorted out by the time they are "match fit."

Well it's just as bad as the people who respond to 'I've had 30 shots, and lost 2-0' with 'but look, it happened once to X this season, see it's realistic.'

It's a buggering nuisance, and one I'm sure will be fixed (eventually) until then, we'll just have to continue weeping in dismay.
