Am I right in thinking that once a player cannot move to your club due to not being able to obtain a work permit, he will never be able to join your club. Is there a way of getting round this. Thanks

If you have a feeder club that allows you to send players on loan to get a work permit (Belgian, Polish, Bulgarian, Spanish and I believe Romanian clubs) then you will be able to complete the transfer. You won't be able to play the player though so will have to send him to your feeder club.

I dont as I am manager of Barnet and my chairman keeps rejecting my proposals for feeder/parent clubs.

Unfortunately, then, it is unlikely. One trick that does sometimes work though is if you set the players status to key when offering him a contract, sometimes you do win on appeal. If you've done this, then the only thing you can do is keep trying, or find a different player.
