Ok first thing this is NOT a rant!
Anyway im playing with manunited and i am in april...i got knocked out of the champions league grp stages so am playing uefa cup. I did not play the world club championship and the UEFA super cup!
Now in april i have these 2 sequences of absolute fixture madness! Bw 12th April and 29th April i play 9 matches!! I play arsenal away 2 days after playing bolton...then i play birmingham away anoder 2 days later and then i play BARCELONA away 2 days after the b'ham match in a uefa cup semi and then again an epl match 2 days later! Its just madness!
Then in May i play 5 matches in 7 days!(excluding da uefa cup final if i manage to reach it!)
I understand at times theres lots of fixture congestion but this is pure madness/...even with a big squad u cant possibly play SO many matches!!

PS: i even got knockd out of the Fa cup early so lesser fixtures. Liverpool who top the table have playd 7 GAMES more than me!!

...with a bit of luck Arsene Wenger will pass his annual judgement on the crazy fixture shedule soon too! :thup:

I look forward to his "fixture" speech as much as the Queen's and it's becoming a national institution!

In a way you're lucky that you are playing with such a ridiculously large team and so have the players to cover. Runs of stupid numbers of games in no time are common in Northern Ireland and Hungarian leagues (and probably a few others) due to the number of cup games and you don't tend to have the squad size there to cope so well and the players don't get as fit quickly.

I feel your pain. I too have seen this, mainly around easter. I was in a title race with Chelsea and I had to play games on the Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and finally, Monday again, whilst Chelsea had just two games over this period. Thankfully, I didn't effect my march to the title.

Sadly, this seems to be a problem that has been present for a while now. Thankfully, it does seem less common now.

i have a big squad but exactly at this time rooney decided he needed to go elbowing opponents and tevez got his arm fractured...so im surviving on bojan and aguero...nt bad but dey surely cant play all the matches!

Similar problem but in FM7 (patched etc with latest), playing in the Dutch league (2007/08).

Wondering if their is a fix out for the scheduling of the Dutch league for FM2007. Or is this meant to mirror a hickup when the Dutch play-off system was first introduced? Is it there every season or just in the first?
