Just a quick question, are save games compatible with the 8.0.1 patch or is it best to start fresh?

I've had a quick search but cant see an answer. If someone could just give me a quick answer that would be great!

The patch is save games compatible however it's recommended to start afresh.

That saying: I'm still playing on a save that got started with the first betapatch and have applied the 2nd betapatch and the full patch afterwards.
