I have downloaded the mercury and sky sports skin. I take out the original skin, and save it on my desktop, then I place the mercury skin in the skins folder in the graphics. I start the game up, after the beggining loads up (war child etc.) I just get a black screen, I dont even get to the main screen. Could anybody please help me as it is really annoying.

firstly u can keep all the skins in the 'skins' folder. secondly, it looks as though have unticked the skin cache, which is why the main screen does not come on.

I have tried ticking the skin cache, then restarting the game, I want the murcury skin on, but when the game loads up it is still the original skin, I have both files in the graphics/skin folder like you said, any more help would be massivily appricated.

go to preferences and then 'sound and display' i think its called and then look at the drop down menu of the skins. do none turn up except flexion?
