I thought about this as a topic after deciding it would be good to make my local team, Dorchester Town FC, the Chelsea of the Conference South... I put there reputaion right up to the top, and with all the money they are making some mad signings - Tugay and Talal El-Karkouri are all joining up... :o Learning the hard way eh?
What are your biggest editior muck-ups, and what happened?
Tried to make Cambridge United the best team around - problems so far:-
all premier league teams pinch my players
not allowed to scout outside of UK
have a bank balance of £4m - yet only allowed to spend £50k!
I tried to make Great Britain a real nation, I put their reputation, coefficients and Fifa ranking points all to maximum. I was hoping that doing this would somehow eliminate the home nations from the game and allow me to select say, Beckham and Giggs in the same Great Britain team.
Unfortunately it just made a Great Britain team full of super grays, and one visible player, who only has one name, called Liam, and he's crap, yet he's always selected for Great Britain for some reason. Oh, and he plays for Algeciras!
Spending 5hours making a team and 30players, then going to save it and press exit. Then pressed yes thinking it was asking me if i was sure I wanted to save the db.
Worst is when you make your rep high, then as soon as you lose to a team, everyone is shocked and your board are unhappy, even if you lose to a prem team lol.

I edited GB to be my own made up nation, and they got Liam as well! Except he was near world class...
I created a player and accidentally set the win and goal bonuses at millions - took a few months before I noticed which left the finances very interesting.
I was so busy triying to add a B team to Rushden and diamonds that i managed to delete the team all togheter, thtas was after hours of editing competitions names, correcting clubs colours, nation colours, adding 3rd kits, and making some future tranfers. Now i save often.
