download the 7.0.2 data update, went into editor to make a few changes myself, saved it and when i go and run the game it doesnt give the option to run the database that i just changed, any ideas

It's something a few people have come across when adding an update when playing the game before the update.
Back your saved games up, uninstall the game, remove the si folder from program files, and re-install the game, update and make your edits, all should work then.

Try asking in the bugs forum, kenners or one of the guys in there will prob come up with a better answer, and ask the right questions for a soloution.
