How about, an option you can check at the start of a new game to be a favorite manager. It could include:
-All rival managers are scared of you in the media and rarely win a war of words,
-All of your bids for whatever value are accepted, and contracts more players interested,
-Your reputation is World Class much more,
-More teams than usual would like to employ you,
-Other teams become less tactically able,
-Money pours in etc. etc.
You could have different levels of this as difficulty(i.e. Easiest - Where Nothing gets past and you shoot to the top, through to Hardest - Where you have limited help a little more than you would normally have).
I know you could use an editor for all this but that would not be so easy...
FM07 has a past experience setting where you can pick Automatic up to International this could be it, Automatic being the easiest and International being the hardest.
