I offered my services this year to work on the editor but to no avail. I think maybe now that i should have been. With grahame and michael on other projects who actually developed the editor this year. If i had been there i would have picked up on the many features which would have needed to be included.
That wouldn't have made any difference whatsoever.

Sad to hear this, as I use the editor quite alot.... To update the game myself, and add bits and pieces here and there!!

Can´t we atleast have an SI employee, to explain to us why all the features aren´t there?? As there has to be an explanation, IMO the editor is a useful tool, to add to the manager experience, and since the new game is so much better, so should the editor be!!!

Unfortunately this proved to take longer than we had expected, which meant some stuff didn't make it into the released version of the editor.

We are hoping to get these missing features added to the editor, and released as a patch at a later point.

In my opinion rewriting the editor has been worth it, as I feel the new editor is much better than the old editor. All though I do understand your frustrations at the missing features, and I did everything I could to get as much added to it in time for release, unfortuantely there just wasn't time enough.
Thanks for the explanation Michael, now you've stated there will be a patch I'm happy now.

Well im quite dissapointed that the editor seems to have been drastically reduced, but i'll live! I wonder if they did it maybe to save space on the CD? Anyway, i'm sure someone will make an unofficial editor for all the features we miss.

I personally found the old editor very easy to use, there´s no need for flashy graphics or an "easier" interface IMO, it´s all about changing letter and numbers really!

But I have respect for your hard work, and am hopefull for a future version (hopefully very soon) that will meet all requirements!

I too thank you for being kind enough to answer us, Michael.

Have to agree with you, the editor was in need of change, the new one is much faster, reliable and enjoyable to work with.

So cancel the links from the affiliates screen.
