if i want all the january transfers for FM07...is 7.01 or 7.02...then do i save into football manager then fm 2007 then which file as you get like tactics etc.

Do you mean a 3rd party update or the official SI patch.

7.0.2 has all the fixes from the previous patches and then you can choose the database you want to load. Download the patch to your desktop, close the game then click on the patch icon and it will automatically overwrite the neccessay files.
