I'm playing as Harrogate Town in the Conference North. As such I've adopted a 4,3,3 with a target man and two nippy strikers. It is my three central midfielders that I could do with some input on.
Due to the standard of football and footballer at this level and the fact I'm playing the ball frequently long to my target man, bypassing the midfield, I decided that rather than get ball playing midfielders in I would pack the midfield with three hard working, tenacious, ball winners.
However, being a semi-professional side with an obscure reputation attracting players was a challenge. As such my best midfielder, one Darren Dunning, has the key stats (work rate, stamina, determination, tackling and strength) at the 11/12 mark. Having secured Dunning on a full-time contract I had intended to create an individual training regime for him, here is where I need the advice.
Should I focus training him on the physical areas he is already fairly strong in at this level, or in an attempt to try and increase my possesion (usually about 42% come full-time) should I try and hone his ball playing abilities once he's won it back? Any help would be much appreciated
