It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

I have replayed the same game with these changes, and result was pretty the same. Now I used Messi as AMC, with 47/40 in passes, 3 main ones, 1 assist.
about tackling, my players do not make too many faults being at medium.
the problem is still that rivals move very comfortably between the AMCs and the DMC, I think I need another midfielder there.
I see two options:
1-remove one striker, as the AMCs are very offensive already
2-forward arrow one of the DCs
I will replay the game with both options and let you know

1st option is better. But the set up i think is to have two MCs barrowed to DM. Maybe sarrows to left and right AMCs.

Many shots on goal? What was the scoreline?
Do you think this tactic looks promising?

well, the formation you suggest is very commonly used by the AI, so I prefer not to use it, call it pride!

shots on goal was only 6/12, scorline again 2-0

now I have finished first half with option 1, they had 0 shots, so in defensive terms it worked perfect, but it was also much harder to create chances. I will try option 2 in the 2nd half now...
yes, this tactic looks promising but it is also a very good training field

well, they had 3/8 shots on goal only in second half, so this does clearly not work. At the same time, we had 10 shots in this 45min (and had one player sent off early)
so, can we start making some conclusions?
-2 strikers is better as they move and create chances for each other
-midfield needs two people there to destroy opponents play

one more try: with only two AMCs (side ones) and a backarrowed striker

You're only problem with it is the midfield gap? I played one match in slow mo and indeed the midfield is usually left open what if the DM man marks the best MC? Then the AMCs would deal with the other MC since they have high closing down. What do u think?

The only reason i'm playing with two strikers is because i don't like a lone striker up front. I want to score lotsa goals! I have a .pkm where i demolished arsenal 7-1 hehehehe

so ur trying a 4-2-2-2? Sounds even crazier! Thanks for giving the tactic a try.

So u think with this tactic, when focused passsing is on "both flanks" the side AMCs go the sides/flanks? Or they run towards the sides? The idea of the tactic is for the FB and side AMCs stay on the sides then cross/pass towards the center or the targetman/playmaker.

Or do u think playing "through the middle" is better? Running like a crazed bull towards the opponents' goal? Problem with this is that passes are likely to be intercepted and players tackled by the opponent. Bigger chances though for yellow cards and red cards against them.

well, I do not really like man-marking, it creates some spaces which can be dangerous.
I want to show you the formation I am trying to work on, how can I attach images here?

any ideas?

yes, 4-2-2-2 sounds weird huh?

I think going through the middle is not a solution, the advantage of 2 strikers is creation of space, and then the idea of making the AMC a targetman is very good
I think the side AMCs go to sides naturally in order to open spaces, and then passing to flanks is a consequence of this, not a cause.
