I am playing as milan with a linear 4-4-2 (with my midfielders left and right with the yellow arrow up all the way up). My formation after the 3rd year was:
BUFFON (GK) Gaind the 'legendary gk' description
ODDO (FBR) Run forward, run with ball, crosses
CHIELLINI (FBL) [euro def of the year 3 times] same inst. as Oddo.
NESTA (DC) Long passes, def mentality
KALADZE (DC) same as Nesta
GATTUSO (MR) Run forward, crosses
SEEDORF (ML) Run forward, crosses, long shots, run with ball, long shots
PIRLO (MC left) [World footballer twice, european footballer once; 15 free kicks pr season] Creat freedom max, hold ball, thrugh ball, long shots
KAKA (MC right) free role, run forward, run with ball, long shots
GILARDINO (FC) short passes, rorward runs
LUPOLI (FC) [amazing!!!] same as Gilardino.
Here Seedorf was gettin really old and collapsed, physically just before the end of the season. Still he won the forener serie A player of the year, he had a 7.51 average and 8 goals from action. I bought Messi to replace him without changing anyhing. After 2 seasons he has a total of 5 goals and an average of 7.35. I looked at his stats and he touches the ball rarely and never attepts to dribble or shhot from distance like Seedorf used to do. He is always behind Pirlo while Seedorf used to be always in front and is much less offensive than Messy. How can I involve him more?
