Firstly, I want to clarify something very important. There is no unbeatable or ultimate tactics at all. And if you are searching for it, you do NOT need to read this thread. Because I’m going to tell you something heuristic, and I can’t guarantee you that it’s unbeatable.
I’m not a big fan of Arsenal or Barcelona. But I appreciate their tactics. I believe “quality possessions provide goals”. The so-called "quality possessions" refers to "possessions in midfield(not back field)". In order to achieve this goal, I used 3 players in middle field. So the following tactics are based on 3 central midfielders. There are four tactics in this package.
4-3-2-1 home
Please use this tactic when you’re HOME or HEAVILY FAVOURED or you are away and 1 goal behind after half-time.
•DR/DL: Pace, crossing, tackling are vital attribute for this position.
•DCs: The left DC should have good jumping and heading for corner strategy.
•MCs: The left and right MCs should have good creativity, passing, finishing and long shots. The central MC should have good passing and tackling.
•AM: Finishing, dribbling, passing, crossing, off the ball, creativity, pace are vital attribute for this position.
•FC: This position is typically important. I think a powerful striker with good strength, off the ball, and passing will work well.
4-3-2-1 normal
Please use this tactic when you’re AWEY or your opposite is HEAVILY FAVOURED.
4-3-2-1 comeback
Please use this tactic when you are home and 1 goal behind after half-time or you’re behind after 70min in any situation. Honestly, this tactic may not work well sometimes, and you can tweak it.
5-4-1
Please use this tactic when you’re ONLY 1 goal ahead after 80min. I conceded only 1 goal in this tactic. That goal is a mistake of corner strategy which has been amended in this version.
•Target man: A pacey foward.
