Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Attacking Free Kicks ignored?

I've been trying to set up a free kick routine involving the free kicks being aimed at my best header, the DC, who's marking the keeper.

Now, the thing is he has just scored a goal (my first in ages on 08) but my other DC Cacapa was also up despite being given the Stay Back instructions.

My question is, how many people have noticed this before? Whats the point putting thought into the set pieces if they are to be ignored?

Are you sure Buxton

TBH i dont really py attention to free kicks as my players just shoot and if lucky it goes in.

The only set peice worth paying attention in imo is corners as if they are set up right it can guarantee 10-15 goals a season.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't supposed to be up there, the free kick in question was the textbook attacking free kick too, about 5-10 yards in from the touchline level with the six yard box.

I don't see attacking corners ignored like that.

I always pay a lot of attention to my set pieces because it can make the difference between winning a trophy or not, and I really do want them to be following my setup otherwise it's a totally pointless exercise.
