This was the same problem I had with Liverpool! I ended up getting Richards, because Chelsea hijacked my Alves bid Richards was playing well though, plus he could play in my future CL games for that season!

Richards, I Got Him For £22 Million, £40 Million Is Too Much. You Can Find Someone Else If That's The Price. If You Want To Pay It Though, Richards. Don't Go Near Alves. When I Play Sevilla He Has Always Gots A Rating Of 5 And Hasn't Made It In Team Of The Week Once In 3 Seasons. Micah All The Way

40 mil can get u 2 world class players, so it aint worth it for alves, yes no doubt he is gd but u might as well get lahm, barragan or de silvestri(sp) from lazio

I got Richards for 21.5M pounds. Alves will cost about 35M. Richards is English as well so that's a plus.

Be patient on the Alves front. Try sweet talking Sven, seems to righten a relationship, unless they're frigid ******** and take your praise with a pinch of salt

Have to remember that ivod said he is in Jan of 2nd season, so his 40m pound offer is probably spot on considering City and Utd are rivals.

That said, either are studs. If your tactics are set to bring your full backs into attacking position often (like I do), Alves is fantastic because he creates a ton of chances.
