Forget him if you want to play him at LB. And also forget him if you want him to play LAM.

If Clichy is injured, I strongly suggest that you give Armand Traore a go. He's a great little player will all the potential in the world. Give him a go in the not-so-difficult matches. If you have any big matches coming up, play Gallas at LB as he's great there as well. You can play Toure and Senderos (or some other CB you might have bought) in the centre.

And if you plan to play him as LAM, then forget about it because Matias Fernandez is 10 times better (albeit about 4M costlier) and you have Rosicky there as well who's immense.

So, even though Marcelo is a good player, you dont really need to spend your money on him especially since he demands outrageous salaries and a very small contract.
