Here boy, take a seat by the bonfire and help yourself beer and some masrhmallows.

Are you comfortable? Yes? Then I shall begin.

I took charge of the mighty Workington back in 2005/06 and what a disaster of a team that was. Awful players, awful staff, awful facilities and awful reputation.

It was not a surprise that it took several years for us to become something more than relegation fodder (05/06 17th, 06/07 17th, 07/08 15th, 08/09 10th, 09/10 15th, 10/11 8th), but with time something changed in there.

By 2011/12 we looked no longer destined to lower mid endings and indeed we made a massive improvement by landing the 2nd spot in the league. We were later spanked badly at the final, but the fulcrum for change had already been planted.

2012/13 Also saw us end 2nd in the league and also saw us at the wrong end of a 4-0 truncing in the final.

But summer of 2013 saw a plethora of changes in the team. Players who could make a perfect 5 meters pass wanted to join us. Wingers who could dribble a zombie with ease were adamant to join us. Defenders with a penchant for late vital challenges agreed to join :*).

So, despite our quite dangerous economic black hole, out went the usual lot (who were on the verge of retirement anyway) and in came a brilliant* new bunch of players for the Reds.

The future started there.

* Brilliant: A player who has some doble digits in the appropiated areas and not in aggression and dirtyness (according to Jordi's FM2006 dictionary)

I think you should go to manage Bradford City, Jordi. They sound better than the crappers that we have currently...
