After a blitzkrieg start to the season in which we played 10 league matches and had won all ten I forgot my usual selfcontrol and creamed myself at the FT talk.

I click continue and have a peek at the messages. I know I'm in deep trouble: The Chairman is hallucinating at our performace, the press are also claiming we will be champions in january at this rate and on top of this my just delivered speech

Karma is on its way to hit us badly and it certainly has come back with a vengeance: Of the following 5 matches we draw one and lose 4, even though we dominate all of them. 37 shots on target against 9 for the oposition. 6 goals for and 8 against /o\ Damned complacency!

I've just found the reason for the astonishing poor condition of my players during the past 3 months or so (in which we've been playing saturday - tuesday - saturday non-stop).

Apparently I just forgot to replace my retiring physio :o

I must stop sipping red during FM sessions :jordi:

Now that I have one things should come back to normal

We still cling to 1st in Conference North after 27 matches, but we only have a 2 points lead over Marine.

A potentially health breaking end of the season sees us lose 1-3 on the last matchday when we only needed one point to secure promotion to the conference national.

Our injury woes had been too hard to overcome

However, Nortwitch only manage to draw their match against already relegated Blyth Spartans, so to the Conference National we go \o/

Not a bad 40th birthday present by any means.

Next season might be a bit of a struggle and a complete reshuffle of the playing roster might be in order if we're to stay in the national.
