I'm probably going to jynx myself by posting this, but if complacency (or aquaplanning) doesn't kick in we could be in the verge of something.
2024 New Year's day and we're 12 points clear with a game in hand in the league. Breazed the LC to Semis (demolishing Liverpool (

) 1-5 away and Aston Villa 0-4 away). Also managed to qualify from our CL group of Betis, Fenerbache and Anderlecht only dropping a point. We also spanked Liverpool (

) in the Community Shield (0-4).
Actually, we've only lost one match all season and it was one of those 25 shots to 1 which end 0-1 against relegation candidates #2 Everton.
It looks like trimming the squad and bringing in some new blood was the way forward (not to mention that we've raised some £65m in sales and only spent £21.5m for replacements).
All this reinforces my thoughts that we lost the league last season (rather than Liverpool (

) winning it) as there simply isn't a team in Poofland able to cope with my players.
If all goes as planned this could well be my last season at Workington. I'll either retire and start a new save or restart from the bottom after not renewing my contract.
