I'm quite impressed with the talk, and the screenies from last week looked nice (best skin yet). However, the job centre sounds great, but doesn't work especially well, so I'll be anxiously waiting to give the new features a go before I start the happy dance.

SI were told loads of times in FM06 that this was a bug but never did anything about it and never even talked about it. My read on that is that the bug was so deep routed it would have taken a massive amount of changes and they were too scared to touch it in case they break something else.
Because you know with SI’s famous “love of the game” that they have professed for years to have, that they would never cheapen themselves by making the financial side of the game easy so that all the muppets could do well and think that they are great managers and queue up to buy FM2007, would they Matt??????????

Sorry for the delayed response, it took me a while to escape your crushing cynicism...

Its been said before, it'll be said again - SI are the greatest critics of their own game. They make it so they can play it and so they're happy with it. That's been their mantra for as many years as I've known them, which is longer than I've worked with them.

As with much of the game - little tweaks sometimes have big effects. Seems to me that this bit of game balancing wasn't perfect - but historically I don't think they'd got it wrong previously so there's a fair chance they'll be able to fix it. Whether they do or not - is their business and dependant on their own priorities - I don't work on the code and don't get involved at that level. Have you mailed Marc Duffy to talk to him about it? That's normally a good first step for anyone with what they consider a significant concern about the game.

Still - its obviously easier to make up your own conspiracy theory and shout it from the rooftops so I can see why you've chosen that approach...

Marc's comment was that it is being looked at .... I suppose I will just have to wait for the demo, if it still crap in the demo then I'll save myself 50 bucks.
