My guess would be because they have less hair in that zone. Be it because they wax it or because they simply don't have as much hair there as we do.

Actually, I'd call it middle-body management. Middle-body being the part of the body that connects the lower boddy to the upper boddy, With both these parts of the body offering their own kinds of delights, wich - charming as a bellybutton might be - mostly outshine the middle-body parts in attention lavished on them by members of the opposite sex. Or something to that effect.
