Welcome to the Space Rangers. Oops, I mean the Killymoon Rangers, in Northern Ireland's 2024.
The world has changed a bit (as can be seen here), but football is still played all around the globe.
Season 2024/25
The team coming out from non-league meant we had decent finances (£200k in the bank) and some awesome players.
We ended doing better than the board expected and followed Oxford United Stars into 1st Division.
Sold a player for £1.2m+25% of next sale in January, so economically we ended even better.
Season 2025/26
Battle bravely against relegation, be brave and all that stuff as the theory.
What really happened is that we signed a quite decent DC for £1k and brought a bosman AMRC to fill the spot of the player we sold last season. We started on form and we never really looked back.
Oxford United Stars were somehow able to keep in touch with us.
We sold the defender we had just signed for a meager profit of £749k to some Poofland League One team.
Season 2026/27
Now it was to the big stage and I really thought we had found some challenge when we drew our first 3 matches, but soon we took off and only Linfield were able to keep in touch with us.
Their involvement in some meaningless cups meant we were fresher when the deciding match came: matchday 29 at our place with only 1 point separing both teams.
Their kickarse striker was injured and that really was the difference in the 5-3 result.
After a surprisingly shocking performance in the UCL Quals (in which we only bowed down to Dinamo Kiiv in the 3rd Quals 1-3 agg after disposing of FH 5-3 and Trabzonspor 3-1 agg) we were drawn with Galatasaray for the Uefa Cup 1st Round.
A sneaky 1-0 win at home and we left it all to the 2nd leg at the Ali Sami Yen. 62 minutes and we're 0-2 down. Gulps. I put in my understudy striker and change to some stupidly attacking tactic.
83 minutes and the understudy forces a freekick 5 meters outside the box. And the bloody fecker scores it
Operation Vive la Resistance! manages to somewhat hold a desperate Galatasaray on the last 10 minutes of the match.
We're through to the Uefa Groups!
Dortmund, Saint-Ettiene, Partizan and AA Gent will have to play Killymoon Rangers in the Uefa Cup Gr D \o/
Oh and before someone thinks I have a kickarse team, let me state my best player is of Conference National/ Mid League 2 level and I have 2 or 3 players in my starting XI who would have trouble holding a spot in a Conf N/S team

We have a saying here that good stuff advertises for itself. Oh, wait...
