How do i turn it off?

One tip reckoned i should use a bloke with a high corner taking attribute to take corners. Im not sure about this advice, but i prefer to make my own mind up about things. That would be real.

And where has my lower right hand continue button gone? Can i get it back?

I have no clue about turning the hints and tips off. Sounds like a GQ one to me....

Don't believe the tip about using "a bloke with a high corner taking attribute to take corners" that is complete nonsence it all depends on how strong the wind is and which direction it is blowing in. I personally like to get my keeper to take all the corners and then stick my 10 outfield players in the box. But that is far to much like tipping for these parts

Im not sure, but I think that the little football in the bottom right-hand corner is the same as the continue button.

I use the space bar which does the same thing.

The tiny football is indeed the continue button. Or you could just press the spacebar like everyone else.

Heh, I played through 2 years of CM 03/04 before seeing a poll for the FM 2006 beta - "How do you continue the game? *Space Bar *Click Button at top, etc." I felt like an idiot, but it's not like they make it very obvious, either.
