Just a few thoughts on the demo

I like the new scouting system a lot. My main scout at Gravesend had no reports at all from the loaded default search. It was only after i sent him out again that he came back with some results....and some pretty good ones too. Maybe a bit too good?

He doesn't notify you when he's found a player a la FM 2006 so you have to keep checking the report screen. Players are given a star rating on his recommendation, current and potential ability, plus there is an option to send your ass man off to scout him as well.

Seems to be a lot of media interaction for conference level...I got questions prior to most of my matches from the local papers/radio stations.

Player interaction - senior players mentoring youngsters.....nice idea, but will it have any noticable effect?

Set pieces are 100% better, especially corners and indirect freekicks. They actually look dangerous

The team talks seem to have a significant bearing on results and performance

This can be realistic, depending where you are in the country. If you're a Conference club like Grays, on the edge of London, then you probably won't get many. However, if you're less clustered near bigger clubs, for example, Cambridge United, you would gets lots of interviews/questions from local media.

Scouting - definitely. Scouting 3 times - hmm.

I'm not sure - that seems a little arbitrary to me. If you're content to sign him based on a single report then it's your neck on the block, surely?

Didn't bad-perm and moustached Liverpool '80s midfielder come just plain & simple bad manager of Liverpool,Rangers et al sign a player while boss of Southampton based solely on the recommendation of a member of his staff? He lasted less than one match from what I remember. Maybe we should learn from that and scout!! (Or at least watch him in training !!)

And with that, ladies and gentlemen, the first moronic comment based on the new features of FM2007 was made in LLM. I expect many more.

After playing a season on the beta with the team the media predicted to come last in Conf south, I can confirm that if you ask a kid to recommend a player or coach they'll tell you that they haven't a clue - so you can trust the AI here.

You might get a response from some old warhorse you sign but in my experience they all recommended players I'd have to pay that stuff - money? - so they weren't too bright.

In short, it's a good feature that won't compromise the LLaMa experience.

Have you spent merry hours just choosing the club to manage? I loved scouring the media predictions for the crappiest team, the dodgiest chairman, the smallest stadium, the list of club finances to find the one with the lowest value, lowest wage allowance, biggest debt etc.

I think all the new features will improve the LLM experience although I still think short erm contracts are needed.

Surely you'd want another opinion / look at him.
I have a different view than you on this. I will not ask any player about who they would like to join the club.

I'll probably just ask this to key members, and only to footballers that already have some experience and seem like they're developing into maybe a good coach.

I think your LLM experience might be improved if you didn't post in the GPG forum, the T&T forum and the Spawn of Satan forum.
