After starting the game unemployed I was offered a job at lowly Montrose in the Scottish 3rd Division. 3 difficult seasons later I'm in a 1st div and and the only team thats still running part-time.
My question is does the club status ever change from semi-professional to full-time in FM2006 by achievement (reaching a premier division for example) or does it always stay the same?
Mine changed in England I think when I went from the conference to div II. But I can't say for certain. Keep at it they will make you professional eventually.
10 post in 3 and a half years that has got to be some sort of record
As far as I know, Queen's Park are the only Scottish team who remain staunchly amateur as a matter of principle. Although I can't say for sure if SI have taken this into account in the game. I imagine every other team has the potential to become fully professional though.

Yeah i think hes right, but i found when your status is semi-pro it is quite hard to sign players on full time contracts, anyone else expierienced this?
