True that, kov. Although if FM 2007 7.0.0 fixes the cash flow / selling players problem, then it's already better than FM 2006 6.0.x.

So... anyone know of a UK retailer that ships to the US? Where does everyone in the UK preorder their games from?

I'm going for www.cd-wow.com this year (based purely on price). I think they deliver to Yankland.

Thanks, mkus. Looks like Gameplay now ships to the US, but it would cost £25 + £5 S/H. This is a much more affordable option.
