Although I'm new myself I believe the renaming of competitions is ok, but regarding players I think you should wait for an official update.

Jesus H. Christ! No editing of anything, ever, ever, at all, ever!!!

The Rules in the Forum Header make this absolutely clear...you see the bit that says "will not be tolerated" followed by "Editors"?

That's a bit of a giveaway, eh?

Where has Pete's post gone?

Anyway, changing competition names is fine, because you only have to change a text file, and not mess with the db. The rest, however

You can do that? How Gil? I've always hated the Euro Cup and Vase.

Isn't there a way you can change that German goalie Kunt to his proper name too?

Of course by official update you mean an SI patch, yes robertg7? Third party database updates are just not on.

There's normally a fix at SORTITOUTSI.net for the competition names that someone puts together shortly after a release. That is pretty good. I think I'll wait for that rather than doing it myself, thanks all the same gil

Now I've just posted a reply to Simon's question.

Apparently, a word in it triggered something that made my post needed to be read by an admin, before being accepted...

That has to be a joke. Every newb comes around posting all kinds of wind-ups, and my replys are being watched?? SORTITOUTIAN!!

Flea, there's a certain file extension that if mentioned triggers this response. This is because SI don't have the licensing for the names (hence the fake ones) and if people like you or I started telling Simon to look at the file named fake dot l-n-c then they'd get into trouble
