So an old timer is finally back. Ed Gibbons, a manager unemployed since the glory days of CM 02/03 is finally back into management and llama land. Fresh off of purchasing his copy of FM07 he has taken on the task of managing Ural Yekaterinburg and the Russian First Division. With weather often as cold as -40*C and the city being a former Communist stronghold this is a task only for a seasoned llama. The scouting network is near non-existent, the squad would be lucky to get into a pub team and the stadium is more like a dog track than one of a high level football team. Of course that is forgetting that all players dream of coming to Siberia to freeze their ******** off for minimal pay.
Ok then this isn’t the toughest challenge in the division, however the club’s colors of orange and black cannot be underrated. Plus the team is named after a river which has its mouth in Kazakhstan which makes it even cooler. Here’s my situation…. I have two players worth over 100k, one of which is on loan. I have a transfer budget of 50k, which as a llama isn’t actually too bad. I have nine staff members which includes one scout, who as expected at this level is most likely blind and a heavy vodka consumer.
I’ll crack on and keep anyone who cares updated.
BTW does Craig still post on here or did he leave years ago like myself?
